Who I Am

Since I was young I’ve loved music and figuring out how things work, so in a very real way piano tuning is a natural extension of things I’ve loved since I was a kid. I had the opportunity to apprentice under an incredibly talented PTG guild tuner and am certified through the Piano Technician Academy. I strive to bring the highest quality service at the most reasonable prices you’ll find in the area. I’m lucky to have truly found something I love to do and welcome the chance to share that good fortune with all of you.

FAQs

  • Pianos are complex instruments, and each string has a tension of anywhere from 160 to 200 pounds. A trained technician can ensure your piano is optimized to produce the highest quality sound. Regular tuning allows your instrument to maintain its integrity and lengthen its lifespan.

  • Piano manufacturers will recommend that you have your piano tuned twice a year, usually coinciding with the major seasonal changes. Unless your instrument is played daily or subjected to sever environmental changes, such as temperature, humidity, or relocation, once a year is often sufficent.

  • While I can do minor technical work, my primary focus on the moment is tuning. If I find more extensive repairs needed I will help you connect with a repair professional.

  • An average tuning should take about an hour, sometimes longer if the piano is severely out of tune.
